2018 summary!

Long time no speak!
Sorry for the lack of updates, I seem to have lost my mojo after one of my races to do a blog about it, the list the mojo to do any throughout. I think it's only fair I do an update on how my 2018 went so here goes.

I got my 3rd cat licence finding my local crit (Curborough) very fruitfull for points. I believe I managed a 4th and a couple of top tens. I also raced at mallory with my best result being 11th and a no finish due to rear quick realase becoming loose and causing me to buckeroo off course. There was a front flat on a race a Curborough that also caused me to crash out. I managed around 18 points for the season so not to shabby.

Things I've taken from this year, well I know I haven't got the mentality to take me any further. I'm a nervous wreck before the race and within the race I'm far too cautious. Other races was much more bullish than I can be, In which proved to be my downfall. Bullied to the back of the peloton when making a big effort to the front is just poor and something I really need to work on for 2019.

Yes 2019 I'll be going at it again, only if my training is going well tho. I'm looking to do a time trial on new years day which is usually run both Staffordshire cycling club. I'm also going to target a few road races for 2019 not just crits.

Ive also just got back from pollensa in which I did the sa calobra, the biggest climb I've ever done and in which was my best ever experience in cycling. Just looking down from the climb was fantastic.

Next year I'll be riding for the club I help set up with me dad. Shire Oak cycling club so hopefully earn them there first ever points as no one has ever raced for them.

Ill drop an update on how my training is going in the coming weeks.
